This weekend in San Diego, it seems that everyone is talking about Comic-Con and all of the crazy people with their even crazier costumes. But if you were wondering where all of the beautiful and fashionable people were, then look no further than La Jolla. That’s right, the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival has returned for its 5th year and it’s even bigger and badder than ever.
Day One’s red carpet definitely did not disappoint. San Diego’s fashion designer darling, Andre Soriano sprinkled his pixie dust of fabulosity throughout the entire runway with his stunning purple confection with a train that needed its own entourage.
Fashion icon Edith Head made an appearance giving her seal of approval on those outfits that were to die for.
And Fashion Group International San Diego members were in attendance – some for fun, some for work, some for both.
The one and only Diana Cavagnaro always stunning in one of her fascinators.
The exquisite Linnea Zeiner working literally on the red carpet.
A huge thank you to my partner-in-crime at the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival – Samia Lavenant, Guest Relations Manager.
And of course, to the man who makes it all happen…Fred Sweet, LJFFF Producer.
Looking forward to Day Two!

The backbone of the fashion industry rests on many careers that aren’t well publicized and being a fashion rep is one of them.
But what exactly is a rep and why do fashion designers need them?
A rep is responsible for selling a designer’s line to the retailers. They generally work in a showroom where they can show designer’s current collections to the retail buyers.
Want to learn more about how a rep can help you in your business? Want to learn how to become a rep?
Then attend FGI San Diego’s The BUSINESS of Fashion-Going to Market event.
