Where the Beautiful People Are…

In Couture, Events, Fashion Events, FGI, La Jolla Fashion Film Festival on July 25, 2014 at 5:10 pm

This weekend in San Diego, it seems that everyone is talking about Comic-Con and all of the crazy people with their even crazier costumes.  But if you were wondering where all of the beautiful and fashionable people were, then look no further than La Jolla.  That’s right, the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival has returned for its 5th year and it’s even bigger and badder than ever.

Day One’s red carpet definitely did not disappoint.  San Diego’s fashion designer darling, Andre Soriano sprinkled his pixie dust of fabulosity throughout the entire runway with his stunning purple confection with a train that needed its own entourage.

Fashion icon Edith Head made an appearance giving her seal of approval on those outfits that were to die for.

And Fashion Group International San Diego members were in attendance – some for fun, some for work, some for both.

The one and only Diana Cavagnaro always stunning in one of her fascinators.

Fashion Films Take Over La Jolla

In Events, Fashion Events, FGI, La Jolla Fashion Film Festival on July 10, 2014 at 1:56 pm

It’s that time of year again!  While most San Diegans think that summer fun is the San Diego County Fair and Del Mar Races, the fashionable look forward to the end of July for the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival.

In its 5th year already, this year is bigger and more fashionable than ever.  Instead of three days of fashion fun, there are now 4 days jammed pack with seminars, meet and greets, the fashionabulous After Parties and of course the screenings themselves!

The mission of the LJFFF is to empower, support and recognize the individual creative professionals who make up the fashion film community worldwide.  They strive to be the global marketplace for fashion film-the market maker so-to-speak for distribution deals, director representation and fashion film production houses.

The LJFFF is the world’s largest gathering of fashion film makers celebrating the top 1% of fashion films produced worldwide.  They screen the absolute best of the best.

Each year the LJFFF has a retrospective (last year’s was the famed directorial film work of the one and only Karl Lagerfeld).  This year’s retrospective is even better!

Bruno Aveillan is one of the most sought after luxury film directors in the world and has worked with such esteemed brands as Louis Vuitton and Cartier among others.  He is at the pinnacle of fashion film productions in the world and attendees of the restrospective get to not only view some of his best work…they also get to hear from Bruno himself!

The LJFFF definitely gives you a glimpse of what’s trending in the minds of the world’s top fashion houses, designers and stylists.

Want to attend?  Tickets are still available but not for long.  Tickets as low as $50 per day.
